HE LIVES!!!!
I was preparing my lesson for this Sunday and I really needed that lesson for myself. The psalms are such a great part of literature and I never really thought of them as such. They testify of our savior and are powerful words from a fallen man.
I have also been reading Jesus the Christ and that has strengthen my testimony of him. James Talmage was inspired when he wrote this book.
Christ is the savior and he does LIVE! He is the only begotten of the Father… His mother gave him a mortal body and he was the only one who had the power to give up his life and then take is body back. To be resurrected!
He Lives! He Lives! I know it because whenever I am thinking about him and his life my heart is filled with happiness and I am at peace. I am so grateful to Him who created the Heavens and the Earth, who lived a perfect sinless life in order to save us all from a terrible fate, to not be able to have our bodies after death, or to be without our families!
I am so grateful for the Temples that we have upon the earth. To be able to look to our ancestors and bring them to the fold of God! Without the gospel the Temples would not exist. I know that this gospel is truth and Light! What else could give me this much joy! The knowledge that he does in fact Live and that I can be sealed to my family! Without my family, I am nothing. They give me support in so many ways and I am so grateful to them.
I t makes me sad to see so many people reject the outstretched arms of the Savior. I almost did… for selfish reasons. I am so grateful for the atonement and the many tender mercies that the Lord has shown to me. The power to be forgiven is there! All that is required of us is to realize the state of our fallen nature and be willing to have a broken heart and a contrite Spirit. He is ready and willing to take on our sufferings. Just let him help you! It wasn't easy for me but it was worth it.
If you get the chance read the psalms. They are wonderful and testify of his great and important mission.
